Filter Running Cost Calculator

What a filter really costs is the element, not the housing. Enter your own quote and the interval you plan between changes, and this works out elements per year, annual cost and cost per 1,000 litres - then checks each plan against the litre capacity published on the model's spec sheet.

Total water through the filter per day. A drinking tap is usually 3-10 L, a household point 50-300 L, a small hotel 1,000 L and up.

We do not publish element prices: they move with order quantity, packaging and incoterms. Enter the figure from your own quote and the maths below is yours, not ours.

Enter a price in at least one row to see annual cost and cost per 1,000 L. The capacity check works without a price.

How the numbers are worked out

  • Annual water = daily litres × 365.
  • Elements per year = 12 ÷ the months you plan between changes.
  • Annual cost = your price per element × elements per year.
  • Cost per 1,000 L = annual cost ÷ (annual water ÷ 1,000).
  • Water per element = annual water ÷ elements per year. If that exceeds the published capacity, the plan is optimistic and the row is flagged.

Published litre capacity by model

Only the outdoor range states a total litre capacity in its specification. The household elements are membranes: their service interval follows feed-water quality, so quoting a fixed litre figure for them would be an invention. This is the full list of what is actually published.

Why the element dominates

A stainless housing is bought once. The element is bought every interval, so a difference of two changes a year outweighs a small difference in housing price.

What drives the interval

Suspended solids and turbidity, not litres alone. Surface water clogs a pre-filter far faster than municipal water at the same volume.

What this tool cannot tell you

Your local labour cost, downtime and freight. It also cannot price an element for you - ask for a quote against the volume you enter here.
