Membrane Cartridges for Beverages: Brandy, Beer and Bottling Water
Distilleries install our NSF-listed 10-inch hollow-fiber UF cartridges into their own filtration housings to polish aged brandy (XO) - improving clarity and mouthfeel without heat. The same 0.01 micron membrane platform serves breweries and bottling lines where cold filtration replaces pasteurization.
Beverage makers avoid heat and deep adsorptive filtration because both blunt flavor. Membrane cartridges finish the product physically: they retain the fine particles that dull clarity and mouthfeel while passing taste compounds untouched.

Why filter XO brandy with a membrane cartridge?
Aged spirits carry fine residues that affect brilliance and mouthfeel. Our 10-inch UF cartridge fits standard housings and polishes the spirit at 0.01 micron without heat and without stripping flavor the way heavy carbon polishing can.
Can beverages be stabilized without pasteurization?
Yes - sterile membrane filtration is the brewery standard alternative: it removes microorganisms without heat treatment, preserving flavor that pasteurization can blunt. Brewing references from Pall and Atlas Copco document the trade-off.
What does a bottling line need from its water treatment?
Turbidity- and pathogen-free process water plus food-contact documentation. Our PES membrane is certified to NSF/ANSI 42 and passed NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 lead-content testing, and stainless wetted parts are CIP-compatible for audit day.

H-1 Whole-House UF Water Purifier
Horizontal whole-house ultrafiltration purifier in food-grade 304 stainless steel, with a uniform Φ168 mm cylinder and flow options from 3000 to 10000 L/h. PVDF or PVC membrane at 0.01 micron, no electricity required.
304 stainless, washable, no power at UF stage
Frequently asked questions
Is UF enough to make water safe for beverage production?
UF removes particles, yeast, mold and bacteria - not dissolved organics, color or salts. For demineralized or taste-critical process water, follow UF with carbon and/or RO.
Will membrane filtration strip flavor?
0.01 micron UF passes flavor compounds and retains fine particles and haze colloids. Unlike deep adsorptive filtration, it does not pull taste.
Do you have beverage references?
We supply cartridges to spirits and beverage producers under confidentiality; their installations and brands stay theirs, so the imagery on this page is representative rather than on-site.
