Ultrafiltration for Greenhouse and Drip Irrigation Water
Drip systems clog from the inside: algae, organic slime and fine silt pass a sand filter and then settle in the emitter labyrinth. A 0.01 micron stage downstream of the sand filter removes that fraction, which is the difference between a season of uniform irrigation and a season of hand-cleaning emitters.
Irrigation filtration is usually specified in mesh sizes, which describe a screen opening rather than what actually passes. Fine organic matter deforms through a screen and re-forms downstream. A membrane barrier does not have that failure mode.

Why is a sand filter not enough?
A sand filter is good at bulk load and cheap to backwash, but its effective cut is coarse. Algae and organic colloids pass, then colonise the drip line where flow is slow and sunlight warms the pipe. UF after the sand filter removes the fraction that survives.
Where does it go in a fertigation system?
After the sand filter and before the fertigation injection point. Putting it downstream of injection would strip chelates and undissolved fertiliser, and load the element with material the crop needs.
What about iron, hardness and salinity?
Not addressed. Dissolved iron oxidises to a gel in the line, hardness scales the emitter, and salinity affects the crop - each needs its own treatment decision. UF protects the physical pathway; it is not a water-chemistry fix.
Typical configuration

H-1 Whole-House UF Water Purifier
Horizontal whole-house ultrafiltration purifier in food-grade 304 stainless steel, with a uniform Φ168 mm cylinder and flow options from 3000 to 10000 L/h. PVDF or PVC membrane at 0.01 micron, no electricity required.
3,000-10,000 L/h · After sand filter, before injection

H-2 Whole-House / Commercial UF Water Purifier
Horizontal ultrafiltration purifier covering 1000 to 20000 L/h across three cylinder diameters (Φ102, Φ159, Φ203) for residential through commercial duty. Food-grade 304 stainless steel, PVDF or PVC membrane, 0.01 micron.
up to 20,000 L/h · Parallel banks

LX-A1 Universal 10-Inch UF Membrane Element
Universal 10-inch hollow fiber UF element, Φ70 × 254 mm, in PS, PVDF or PES at 0.01 micron. Fits standard 10-inch housings and replaces the cartridge in existing under-sink systems.
Standard housing · Point filtration for one zone
Frequently asked questions
Can I use it with fertigation?
Yes, upstream of the injection point. Downstream, the membrane would remove undissolved fertiliser and chelates you paid for.
Will it stop calcium scale in the emitters?
No. Scale is dissolved hardness and passes through. Acid injection or softening addresses that; UF addresses the particulate and organic fraction.
What flow do I need?
Match the peak irrigation demand of the zone it serves, not the pump rating. Oversizing costs money; undersizing shows up as pressure loss at the furthest block.
